Last week was a big win for bright suits

The 2019 Grammys red carpet lived up to its promise to be weird and wonderful and filled with excellent boots, but our favorite flex of last week was actually born from all the musician hangouts and fashion events that took place before Sunday night. It surfaced at Tom Ford’s runway show and at an AARP awards event on Monday, then exploded at Roc Nation’s annual pre-Grammy brunch over the weekend. The move was this: a confident suit done in a single, unapologetically fun-as-hell color. Pastels. Jewel tones. Brights. Mattes. Semi-glosses.
