LEE AND DRAGON BALL Z LEVEL UP WITH FIRST APPAREL COLLABORATION

by John Russel Jones

Denim brand Lee is collaborating with the anime series Dragon Ball Z on a collection now available in the United States and Europe. The two iconic global brands are celebrating their first collaboration with a curated capsule of tops and shorts. An ode to late ’90s and Y2K culture, the collaboration takes a nostalgic look back at style from the early days of the series.

“A generation of fans were introduced to anime through Dragon Ball Z in the 1990s, and that same generation grew up wearing Lee. This capsule takes a fun approach to blend authentic nostalgia with trend. We’re excited to introduce it to fans of yesterday and today,” said Joe Broyles, Lee’s global vice president of collaborations.

The collection focuses on tops and tees with select shorts and a knit dress for women. Styles are in men’s, women’s, and unisex sizes. Bright colors and Dragon Ball Z characters and logos adorn each piece.

Styles include a men’s graphic camp shirt, $70 retail, pocket T-shirts, $45, unisex drawstring shorts, $60, graphic tees, $35, and a women’s graphic knit hooded dress, $70. The capsule is available on Lee.com, Lee.EU, and in Lee’s own stores in Europe and North Carolina. It will also be available in Lee’s stores in Asia.
