Retail creative director and lifestyle influencer Preston Konrad has debuted a new home collection with three luxury candles, all hand-poured in New England by a family-owned manufacturer.
According to Konrad, the candles are designed to intrigue, inspire, transport, reminisce, and add major style to any space. Curated by Konrad alongside one of the world’s leading fragrances houses, the fall 2020 collection consists of three scents: Highrise, Upstate, and Ellsworth. Each candle is 10 oz. and retails for $48.
Highrise is inspired by the buzz of New York City life – West Village brownstones, soft cashmere sweaters, and vibrant sunsets on the Hudson. A year-round scent bound to be a classic, featuring red currant, vanilla, velvet plum, black amber, sandalwood, jasmine petals, and musk.
Upstate conjures quiet moments of creativity, roaring fires, timeworn leather, and the woodland air near Konrad’s Catskills home. Notes of fireside smoke, black pepper, roaring wood, white ember, smoldering cedar, musk, and vetiver creates the coziest of candles.
Ellsworth, the town in Maine that Konrad spent summers with his family, inspires a scent of lakeside living – crisp morning walks, sun-washed button-downs, and long evening light. An intriguing scent that is perfect for both starting and ending your days. Notes of white grapefruit, Indonesian sandalwood, dried vetiver grass, creamy leather, and red cedar.
“I very much believe style and spaces go hand-in-hand,” said Konrad. “After years of working in creative for brands like Ralph Lauren and Belstaff, I wanted to develop a range of products to bring that magic and style to people’s homes without the major luxury price tags.”
“I’m so thrilled that we’re launching with luxury home fragrance,” he added. “For me, of course, a beautiful candle is the best wind-down moment after a stressful or long day – but it’s also the quickest and stylish way to makeover any space in an instant…to be transported by scent. I’ve always been a bit of a candle hoarder, but never felt that I could find a gorgeous luxury-brand candle that was responsibly made for under $50.”
