Looking as Good as They Play
Louisiana better men’s retailer Weiss & Goldring had the honor of outfitting the team representing the United States in this year’s Presidents Cup golf tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio in October.
“We are proud to ensure that each player’s look is as good as his play!” said Weiss & Goldring’s Ted Silver. This year’s team is led by Fred Couples and assistant team captains Jay Haas and Davis Love III. Silver chose clothing by Castangia, ties and pocket squares by Bob Jensen and special Presidents Cup socks by V.K. Nagrani. Shoes are by Magnanni, and Kleinberg made custom belts.
Silver describes the opening round suit as “a beautiful Tony Bennett blue, paired with a powder shirt trimmed with red piping.” Performance trousers for tournament and practice rounds, also by Castangia, are in super-160s wool.
Weiss & Goldring, in Alexandria, La., was founded in 1899.
