Since taking the tailored clothing industry by storm with their trendsetting softcoats, Lubiam, who manufactures both LBM 1911 and their sartorial line, Luigia Bianchi Mantova, have established themselves as a leader in a category that continues to go from strength to luxuriously soft strength. This season at Pitti Uomo they unveiled their SS16 line and expansion from suiting and sportcoats into a full lifestyle brand, complete with outerwear, accessories, you name it.
This week, the brand celebrated the opening of their first own-brand store. Located at number 30 of Via della Spiga, one of Milan’s most prestigious shopping streets, the boutique marks the brand’s starting point for retail expansion.
“This boutique marks a fundamental time in our companyʼs history, and further reinforces the identity of L.B.M.1911, a brand nowadays synonymous of internationally renowned excellence,” explains Giovanni Bianchi, managing director and head of the style office for Lubiam. “We have decided to take this step to give our existing customers a sign of our strength, but also to effectively approach certain markets with very high potential, such as, for example, India and South America, which require a strong retail strategy. The Milan opening is the first step of a more complex plan to be developed over the next five years.”
