MACK WELDON DEBUTS FIRST NEW UNDERWEAR STYLE IN TWO YEARS

by Stephen Garner

Mack Weldon has launched its first new underwear launch in nearly two years.

The men’s essentials brand’s new “Stealth” boxer brief is engineered with body mapping technology, a hybrid seamless construction, and a second-skin feel. The company says it is designed to go perfectly underneath a pair of board shorts, stands up against even the toughest of workouts, and is comfortable enough for everyday wear.

This new style also has an eco-friendly element. It’s made from recycled yarns and fabrics, and includes elastic waistbands made from 80 percent recycled products.

Additionally, each pair of Stealth underwear is shipped inside eco-friendly, recyclable packaging that breaks down within 24-36 months of being exposed to a landfill environment.

“For our new Stealth underwear line, we had two goals: redefining “second skin comfort” and utilizing the latest in eco-friendly technology,” Matthew Congdon, Mack Weldon’s vice president of design and creative director, tells MR. “I’m thrilled about the results, from the high-recycled fiber contents all the way to the biodegradable packaging. Not to mention, it’s also just fantastic underwear!”

Today, the brand is also releasing its first run of non-medical masks made of its widely-beloved, antimicrobial Silver fabric.

From the beginning of the pandemic, the team at Mack Weldon felt a responsibility to do anything it could, as a clothing brand, to help out. For part of April, the brand donated 50 percent of all proceeds in the form of clothing essentials to New York-area hospitals, ultimately providing more than $400,000 in essentials to medical personnel on NYC’s frontlines.

After that, the brand created and donated hundreds of masks to those same hospitals and many others. Today, Mack Weldon is responding to the many customers who’ve been wondering when it’ll begin selling masks to wear in public.

The new line of masks are made of Mack Weldon’s premium Silver fabric—a blend of Supima cotton and real, antimicrobial silver to make social distancing a little safer and much more comfortable. For years, Mack Weldon has used Silver in some of its top-selling underwear, socks, and tops, so it was an obvious choice for their newest essential.

Retailing for $16, Mack Weldon’s new non-medical masks are now available.
