MACY’S IS EXPANDING ITS SHOP FOR A CAUSE PROGRAM IN AUGUST

Macy's Shop For A CauseMacy’s is calling on all charities to participate in its 11th annual national “Shop For A Cause” program – a unique shopping event dedicated to supporting local nonprofit organizations’ fundraising efforts – which will take place Friday, August 26 through Sunday, August 28. Qualified charities are invited to sign up now at macys.com/shopforacause.

Macy’s will provide participating organizations with shopping passes to sell for $5 each, which can be used at any store location, and the organization will keep 100 percent of the proceeds for every shopping pass that it sells.

In addition Macy’s, customers will be invited to give $5 to the March of Dimes from August 15 through August 28, at any Macy’s register. They will receive a shopping pass valid for special discounts during the “Shop For A Cause” weekend.

“At Macy’s, we believe in supporting the communities where our customers and associates live and work,” said Holly Thomas, Macy’s group vice president of cause marketing. “With this year’s extension to a weekend-long event, we’re offering even more opportunity to support local and national causes, and thanking our customers with special savings at Macy’s.”
