Marc Ecko Joins Forces with Nissan

NEW YORK – Marc Ecko is hitting in the road in a Nissan.

The founder of Marc Ecko Enterprises has created two one-of-a-kind vehicles—customized versions of the Nissan Pathfinder, inspired by the * ecko unltd. Line, and the Nissan Armada, based on Ecko’s Cut & Sew collection—which will be displayed around the U.S. before a special October unveiling in New York.

Ecko will also create limited-edition co-branded hooded jackets, woven buttondown shirts, T-shirts, leather key chains and other merchandise that will be given away at events and sold online through www.nissan.eckounltd.com. Proceeds will benefit Sweat Equity Enterprises, a nonprofit group that helps young people acquire professional design and technology skills while working behind the scenes at leading design companies.

The two parties have labeled the new collaboration “SHIFT_unltd.,” uniting Nissan’s branding on one hand and Ecko’s on the other.

Jan Thompson, vice president of marketing at Nissan North America, said in a statement that Ecko’s “design will bring together two great brands that already have an established relationship with street culture, making it a natural and ideal fit.”

Ecko stated, “Side by side, these two vehicles share a design heritage, yet each has its own distinct character. My goal is to take that character to the next level and to express the vehicles’ individuality through bold, original design and superior execution.”
