MARIA VICARI RETIRES FROM NAUTICA

NauticaAfter 11 years at VF Corporation, Maria Vicari, president of global licensing for Nautica Apparel, has announced her retirement, effective January 29.

Vicari was responsible for the oversight of the domestic and international licensing platform for the Nautica brand, spanning over 40 product categories in over 60 countries – leading to a wholesale volume of over $600 million.

“I want to thank Maria for her many contributions to our success,” said Karen Murray, president of VF Sportswear Coalition. “Throughout the years, Maria has proven to be an integral part of the Nautica brand and the VF Sportswear Coalition. Her hard work, commitment, and dedication are admirable.”

Prior to joining VF, Vicari worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and with GFT USA Corporation for brands including Ungaro Uomo Sportswear Company and Valentino Uomo. She also worked for JA Apparel Inc., where she oversaw the global licensing efforts of the Joseph Abboud brand.
