MARNI OPENS POP-UP AT NEIMAN MARCUS BEVERLY HILLS

by Stephen Garner

Marni has opened a new pop-up shop at the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, CA.

Located on the ground floor of the store, the 35 square-meter space showcases Marni’s spring/summer 2021 Vol. 2 collection, which features men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories designed by creative director Francesco Risso.

Mimicked after an art installation, the space revisits the mantra of the spring collection—”the collective work in the studio.” Rainbows of colors inspired by the garments’ tones bloom through an imposing construction that combines recycled materials, such as wood and fabrics, assembled in a crafty yet inspiring way. The “Marnifesto” graffiti-sprayed banner standing at the center of the structure appears as a slogan of unapologetic freedom. The floor, interpreted like a multicolored rug, reproduces one of the collection’s signature prints, creating a stimulating interplay of motifs.

“Marni partnering with Neiman Marcus for this pop-up represents an exciting opportunity for us and is a great way to represent the ‘Marnifesto’ collection,” said Monica Voltolina, CEO of Marni USA. “The Marni spring/summer 2021 show collection is all about poetry, positive thinking, unity, inclusion, and love and exactly what our clients are looking for at this time. For us, this is an opportunity to make retail more personal and engage the customers with the brand in a new way.”

“Marni’s bold prints and bright colors coming to life on innovative shapes are favorites of many Neiman Marcus clients,” added Paolo Riva, senior vice president and general manager of brand partnerships and merchandising at Neiman Marcus. “We are thrilled that Marni is bringing its exclusive pop-up shop to our customers in Beverly Hills. We know our customers are going to love discovering Marni’s elevated looks and a sophisticated femininity in an interactive pop-up.”

Marni’s new pop-up at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills is now open to public through April 13th.
