MaryAnne Morin Named Chief Merchant at Hudson’s Bay Company

Hudson’s Bay Company has confirmed that MaryAnne Morin has been promoted to chief merchant of the HBC Department Store Group (Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor). The company also said that EVP of merchandising Mary Turner has been promoted to head of business development for the Department Store Group.

“As lead merchant, MaryAnne will oversee DSG’s buying activities and purchasing decisions to strengthen our market position and brand recognition,” a spokesperson said via email. “MaryAnne will be responsible for all apparel, center-core, cosmetics, luggage and fashion direction.”

Morin started at Lord & Taylor in 2009 as a merchandise manager for shoes and handbags. She was named group SVP/GMM of center core, dresses, intimates, outerwear, suits and swim for Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor in 2012. She became an EVP in May last year.
