Men’s Wearhouse Names Norris and Fitzpatrick Retail Presidents

Men's WearhouseMen’s Wearhouse has updated its executive structure again in the wake of the Jos. A. Bank acquisition. Scott Norris has been promoted to president of the Men’s Wearhouse and Moores, Paul Fitzpatrick has been named president of Jos. A. Bank and Jim Thorne has been promoted to EVP of direct sourcing. All will report to Mary Beth Blake, who was recently promoted to president of the company.

CEO Doug Ewert commented in a statement, “We are excited to strengthen and solidify the executive talent in merchandising and sourcing as we integrate, manage and grow the company. Scott has been an integral part of the Men’s Wearhouse merchandising team since 1996 and has spent his entire career developing initiatives to drive sales and margin results. His track record at the company reflects his skills as a successful merchant. Paul has an impressive tenure in men’s merchandising, both in retail and wholesale. Through the years, he has built his reputation in the menswear industry for creating dynamic teams and developing leaders. We are excited to see him bring his knowledge to Jos. A. Bank as Brand President. Jim Thorne brings extensive knowledge and experience in product development, manufacturing, and sourcing to our company. Jim has played a major role in growing Jos. A. Bank to a $1 billion brand.”

Norris has been EVP of merchandising for Men’s Wearhouse, Moore’s and tuxedo rental since 2011. He joined the company in 1996 and became DMM of dress furnishings in 2001. He was promoted to VP/GMM in 2005 and SVP/GMM in 2006.

Fitzpatrick comes to the company from the underwear and loungewear maker ESP Group Ltd. where he was president and COO from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that he was EVP/GMM of men’s and children’s at Macy’s West; he had been with Macy’s West since 1992.

Thorne, who has been with Jos. A. Bank since 1986, has been chief merchant of the retailer since 2009. His career started at Belk.
