MICHAEL KORS UNVEILS NEW SMARTWATCH AND ACTIVITY TRACKERS

Michael Kors AccessGlobal lifestyle luxury brand Michael Kors is unveiling a new wearable technology accessories line, including the Michael Kors Access smartwatch, which will come in both men’s and women’s styles.

The watch, which is compatible with both iPhone and Android phones, is made possible through a partnership with Google, using their Android Wear smartwatch platform. It will be launched in 18 countries through Michael Kors stores, MichaelKors.com and select department and specialty stores. It will retail for $350. Activity trackers, also available at the same locations, will begin at $95.

“Our customers love fashion and they’re plugged in 24/7,” said Michael Kors. “I think they’ll appreciate having social connectivity and health and fitness tracking all within a great-looking accessory.”

Among the smartwatch’s many features are a touchscreen display that provides social media updates and text and email alerts, App notifications, built-in fitness tracking, and Smart help from Google. There are hundreds of possible combinations of display face, color, and sub dials, and the watch comes with interchangeable leather and silicone wristbands.
