Michigan-based lifestyle company The Mitten State has partnered with General Motors to develop an exclusive new line of t-shirts inspired by the company’s iconic and vintage performance cars.

General Motors Licensing worked with The Mitten State to create a variety of looks that best reflect their brand. Additionally, GM granted the designers at The Mitten State access to their vault of vintage advertisements and logos to provide inspiration for this unique line. The shirts feature 13 different vintage designs, tailored in high-quality, hand-crafted materials, and vintage vehicle logos from GM’s brands from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

“General Motors approached us with the idea and of course we were thrilled to be a part of it,” said Will Bransdorfer, co-owner of The Mitten State. “Being fans of vintage muscle cars ourselves, and with Michigan’s historic connection to the automotive industry, we knew it would be a perfect fit. It’s been a fun history lesson working with GM to explore their logo and photo archives, some of which haven’t seen the light of day for decades.”

In celebration of this new opportunity, The Mitten State is giving away the entire GM premium apparel line in a social media contest. Interested enthusiasts can simply visit for a weekly chance to win. The entire GM line of products can also be purchased online at and at the company’s retail store located at 1502 Wealthy Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
