Morrison Joins Doneger as Fashion Director

NEW YORK – Roseanne Morrison has joined The Doneger Group as fashion director, reporting directly to Abbey Doneger, president of the buying office and trend service.

Morrison spent more than 20 years at the Tobe Report, including time as its fashion editor. She was working as a product manager in the outerwear industry in October 2005, when Doneger acquired Tobe. At Doneger, she will provide clients with fashion and style information to support their buying and product development needs and serve as liaison between the group’s market analysts and creative services division.

“We’ve been looking to fill this post for some time,” Doneger told MRketplace.com. “We have a strong market team and a strong creative services team, and Roseanne will help them work together to produce presentations with greater focus and clarity for our clients.”

In a statement, he said, “Together with our merchandising team and creative directors, Roseanne’s ability to determine macro trends in business, fashion and consumer lifestyle will help keep our clients ahead of the curve in this highly competitive retail environment.”

Morrison won’t be involved directly with her alma mater, Tobe, which Doneger said is doing well and “very focused on its task.”
