Global lifestyle brand Nautica kicked off New York Fashion Week with a special event with musical artist Lil Yachty on Thursday, September 7 in New York City. Fashion insiders, as well as a select group of fans, gathered to preview the brand’s new Holiday collection along with a special performance by Yachty himself.
The new 19-piece Holiday Lil Yachty Collection by Nautica draws inspiration from the brand’s design archives along with Lil Yachty’s favorite personal vintage Nautica items that he has collected and worn over the years.
The limited-edition collection, consisting of both apparel and accessories, is featured in bright primary colors and includes a ripstop down puffer coat, Sherpa fleece bomber jackets, knit activewear tops and bottoms, cargo shorts, graphic tees, color blocked polos, as well as reversible fleece-lined bucket hats. Nautica-branded logo graphics and tartan plaid prints taken from the brand’s archives of the 80’s and 90’s are re-mixed with fresh colors, logo treatments, and updated with Lil Yachty’s “Sailing Team” logo.
“We are excited to unveil our limited-edition capsule collection with Lil Yachty,” said Brendan Sullivan, president of VF Sportswear. “Not only does it reflect the Nautica brand’s DNA with its bold colors and logos, it also shows Lil Yachty’s unique and authentic style, which will really excite his fan base.”
The Lil Yachty Collection by Nautica, which retails between $40 and $168, will be available at select stores globally and on Nautica.com beginning November 2017.
