NEW BALANCE TEAMS UP WITH PUBLIC SCHOOL’S DAO-YI CHOW

New Balance has teamed up with Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow on a new collaboration. Called “We Need Leaders,” the capsule was created exclusively with creative incubator Greenhouse and features a reimagined NB 327, FuelCell RC Elite, and running apparel (joggers, short-sleeve t-shirts, and hoodies), taking inspiration from Chow’s own experiences as a 4X marathoner.

Originally created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon, the capsule pays homage to street running culture, highlighting PSNY’s recurring themes of social consciousness, engagement, and the importance of being a leader.

“The idea of We Need Leaders is a reminder that it is far greater to lead than to follow,” said Chow. “Staying active to both better yourself and your community is so important in the times we’re living in right now. Now more than ever, we need to be our best selves and leaders for our communities have to get out, show up and make our voices heard.”

The We Need Leaders x New Balance collaboration, which retails between $100 and $225, is now available exclusively on the Greenhouse app. The collection will then launch at Foot Locker and Champs Sports online on March 23rd.
