NEW BALANCE TEAMS UP WITH WOOLRICH ON CAPSULE COLLECTION
Boston-based New Balance Athletics and Woolrich have announced their first-ever collaboration, debuting a Made in USA capsule. The capsule features limited editions of two brand icons, the New Balance Made US 997 featuring Woolrich wool, and a classic Woolrich wool blanket. The Woolrich x New Balance collaboration is a tribute to both brands’ shared history and commitment to producing premium quality goods in the United States.
The Woolrich x New Balance Made US 997 features Woolrich’s high performance, custom-woven wool fabric on the vamp and tongue. The addition of Woolrich’s premium material further elevates the popular Made silhouette for the modern, style-conscious consumer. The Woolrich x New Balance Made US 997 was crafted in Skowhegan, Maine, one of New Balance’s five New England manufacturing facilities. The 997 style includes ENCAP midsole technology and a suede/mesh upper for comfort and durability.
Woolrich’s classic Jacquard blanket is woven at Woolrich’s oldest operating woolen mill in Pennsylvania and highlights a graphic of the 997 sneaker. A navy was chosen for the custom-woven wool blanket to compliment the rest of the capsule, and the graphic is done in New Balance’s classic grey.
The Woolrich x New Balance Made US 997 will be available beginning Saturday, October 28 on Woolrich.com, NewBalance.com and at retailers globally for $220. The Woolrich x New Balance blanket will be available at select locations and retail for $250.
