OLUKAI ACQUIRES CALIFORNIA-BASED KAENON EYEWEAR
Hawaii-inspired footwear brand OluKai has acquired premium ocean lifestyle eyewear brand Kaenon for an undisclosed sum. Under the agreement, Kaenon will remain a separate entity, led by its co-founder and president Darren Rosenberg.
Kaenon is bst known for its Italian-made eyewear with patented SR-91 lens technology. The acquisition will allow OluKai to branch out into a new category as part of its growing desire to be a premium lifestyle brand that delivers innovative products to the marketplace.
“We share a belief that there is a tremendous opportunity to further build Kaenon in the marketplace and establish even deeper relationships with our retailers and consumers,” said OluKai CEO Jim Harris. “We are confident the impact of this partnership will be realized in the seasons to come.”
