Iconic Swiss watch brand Omega has announced the official launch of its first-ever online sales platform. Exclusively for customers in the USA, the brand’s famous collections, including Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation and De Ville, can now be purchased directly through the company’s website.
The arrival of e-commerce is an important moment for Omega. Until now, customers relied only on location-based boutiques when buying straight from the brand. Now, U.S. customers will be able to browse and buy from wherever they are connected.
“By offering online sales in the United States, Omega can now reach fans in every corner of the country,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, president and CEO of Omega. “No one is restricted geographically, which will make us much more accessible. We also recognize that e-commerce is growing rapidly in the luxury sector and many of today’s consumers use it as their primary way to shop.”
Omega will continue to develop its global network of boutiques, which are still considered to be an important part of the shopping experience. However, the rollout of e-commerce will add yet another dimension which fulfills the needs of consumers.
One watch that will be sold exclusively online for U.S. customers is the new Seamaster Planet Ocean “Michael Phelps” limited edition. In celebration of the legendary Olympian, the watch is a rare collectible that boasts an incredible Master Chronometer movement as well as a combination of colors.
Although the United States has been chosen as the launch market for Omega’s online sales, the brand expects that more countries will follow in the near future.
