Cameron Bates

Originally from North Carolina, and now located in New York, Cameron Bates launched his eponymous label at a young age, infusing the brand with energy that attracts a like-minded audience of driven young individuals.

“I take great pride in making a high-quality product,” says Bates. “The material, cut, and weight of the finished garment all play a role in how the customer perceives each style. That is the entry point of interest, but what sells them is getting to know who I am as a person and as a designer. I allow the consumer to be a part of the world that I create.  Each style is an invitation in to who I am, how I think, and feel.  The consumer needs to understand this to fully understand the brand.”

The designer streetwear brand landed at Atlanta retailer ATTOM, which also has a location in Switzerland, for its debut season and is poised to open 10 to 15 more doors moving into the fall/winter 2019 collection. Bates’ strongest pieces are his outerwear, which ranges from coaches jackets to tactile vests. Retail prices range from $125 to $695.

So, what’s next for the young brand? “This year we are looking forward to fine tuning our process to become even quicker and more efficient,” adds Bates. We’re currently completing our fall/winter ‘19 collection, which will be presented during NYFW in February.”
