OUTERKNOWN OPENS FIRST STORE ON EAST COAST

by MR Magazine Staff

Sustainable lifestyle brand, Outerknown, has officially opened its first stores on the East Coast. Located in Boston and New York City, this marks the next step in the brand’s expansion, following the launch of a sustainable kids collection earlier this week.

The brand’s leadership is excited to create more spaces to connect directly with its community, and customers have been asking for that as we’ve come out of the pandemic. New York and Boston are two of Outerknown’s largest markets outside of California and they hope to open up to 25 stores by 2025, focusing on where their community lives – whether big cities or smaller, mid-size towns.

Each store is constructed with sustainability at its core – finding spaces that need minimal updates, using simple joinery instead of toxic glues, and designing fixtures that can be used or upcycled for years to come.

Outerknown’s New York City Store is located at 135 Prince St and is 1,300 square feet. The Boston store is located at 131 Newbury Street and is just over 1,300 square feet.
