PAIGE DEBUTS ITS FIRST MEN’S-ONLY CAPSULE

by Stephen Garner

Los Angeles-based denim brand Paige has released its first-ever men’s capsule collection.

Dubbed “The Icon Collection,” the capsule serves as a tribute to the eras in history when fashion, music, and art all collided together to make iconic cultural moments. Whether it was The Doors performing at the Troubadour, Magic Johnson at The Forum, or Van Halen shredding the stage at Whiskey a Go Go live from the Sunset Strip, these iconic duos and groups helped solidify their place in culture and history in L.A. and the world.

The collection features an array of elevated pieces ranging from peacoats, mock neck tees, cable-knit sweaters, premium investment pieces, and everything in between. Elevated hardware finishes, along with the finest quality fabrics, express why the Icon Collection will arrive at a higher price point than its mainline collection. It serves as an aspirational take on high-fashion street culture, mixed with everyday quality, comfort, and style.

For Jon Geller, men’s director at Paige, developing this collection was an opportunity to push the fashion elements of the brand beyond the denim it was first known for. “Los Angeles will always be our brand’s home, but London has become the international hub for us not only through retailers such as Selfridges and Harrods, but as a place we draw a lot of design inspiration from,” he tells MR. “We wanted to use these two cities and their cultural histories as the backdrop for this collection.”

And, this is just the beginning of Paige’s men’s-only capsule collection. “This was a lot of fun for the design team and myself to tap into our own personal upbringings,” adds Geller. “Most of us were children of the ‘90s and getting to harken back to those days in Los Angeles and London while maintaining our blend of fashion and comfort was really rewarding.”

The new Paige men’s Icon Collection, which retails between $69 and $975, is now available.
