PERRY ELLIS DEBUTS ‘MOTION’ COLLECTION

by Stephen Garner

Perry Ellis has introduced a new line of casual essentials made to elevate and enhance a man’s everyday style. Called “Perry Ellis Motion,” the tech-infused collection features moisture-wicking properties, 4-way stretch, and wrinkle resistance fabrics used in men’s jackets, shirts, and pants.

“The collection’s performance standards are designed to fit a wide range of active lifestyles, from running daily errands to traveling for work and leisure,” said Jason Zuckerman, president of Perry Ellis. “However, more so now than ever, today’s Perry Ellis customer works from home – working in his home office and working out in his living room. Because of this, he understands that comfort and performance are essential. PE Motion aims to bridge the modern man on the go with the active man at home. And, as working from home becomes more common, the comfort-driven movement in apparel will continue to advance, forcing brands and the industry to innovate.”

The NPD Group reports that ‘work-leisure’ wear and the comfort movement will continue to grow as we work from home. The focus on stress relief will sharpen, making health and wellness efforts a priority and an overall shift to casualization an inevitability.

Perry Ellis Motion’s woven shirts are wrinkle-resistant for a polished look and feature stretch for maximum movement. Polos include breathable, moisture-wicking material and cooling fabrication to help him beat the heat and look good too. Joggers feature a water-repellent exterior and a 4-way stretch that moves with him so he never misses a step. The waterproof trench is lightweight and boasts a hidden hood, keeping him dry and in motion while he stays active.

Retail prices range from $69.50 and $89.50 for woven tops and pants, and up to $310 for outerwear.

The new Perry Ellis Motion collection will be available at retailers across the nation–including Macy’s, Dillard’s, and its own Perry Ellis stores–starting next week and online at perryellis.com on March 29th.
