Ay by Peyman Umay is the designer's new casual collection.

Peyman Umay, winner of the 2017 FGI Rising Star Award for Menswear and author of “Dressing Well,” has launched leisure brand, Ay by Peyman Umay. Long known for his immaculate made-to-measure suiting, this collection offers more casual options.

Umay’s structured suiting is known for his liberal use of color, pattern, and texture. The Ay collection is about soft draping and a muted palette, maintaining the careful fit and elegant detailing that are the designer’s hallmarks. The collection is available at Ay boutique locations in Tulum, Mexico and Bodrum, Turkey, as well as at retail partners throughout the Mediterranean. Retails run from about $140 for linen shorts to $330 for a kimono. Ay is handcrafted in Mexico and Turkey by local artisans in harmony with the environment using eco-conscious materials sourced from five continents.

Umay resides in both New York and Turkey, where he remains a prominent public figure as a TV host, fashion commentator, and designer. The designer sees his twin brands, like the sun and moon, as wholly interconnected, just as all living things on the earth are irrevocably connected to the sun and the moon. This viewpoint inspired the brand name, “Ay”, which means moon in Turkish. For more information, visit peymanumay.com.
