PITTI PEOPLE: THE PEACOCKS RETURN TO THE FORTEZZA

by Stephen Garner

According to our photographer Jeremy Alvarez, who is on the ground in Florence for us this season, the mood is hopeful this week, as attendees returned to the Fortezza for Pitti Uomo’s 100th edition.

“People are happy to see each other again, but you can really tell it’s not like it used to be,” he tells us. “There aren’t as many people as you would normally see at Pitti, but that being said, it still feels good to be ‘reunited’ again!”

Let’s hope the return of the peacock to Pitti Uomo is a good sign for the upcoming in-person trade shows in the U.S. slated to commence this month.

In the meantime, see below for a few of the best-dressed gents we could catch on the first day of Pitti.

  1. As we could/should have all predicted…. Suits aren’t going away… surely, the pause button was temporarily pushed…, however…we are simply wearing them a little differently for the moment.! The valuable versatility that tailored clothing holds, is undeniable. Dress it up…dress it down…separate it, … repeat!…
