G-III has licensed PVH’s Insignia Design Group to launch neckwear under the Vilebrequin brand.

“One of the strongest trends across the men’s fashion and accessories category is prints,” said David Sirkin, PVH president of Dress Shirts and head of Insignia Design Group. “We are excited to team up with a brand like Vilebrequin that is synonymous with iconic prints and high quality product. We believe consumers will embrace the adaptation of Vilebrequin’s prints from swimwear to neckwear.”

Vilebrequin, a men’s swimwear brand founded in St. Tropez, France in 1971 and known for its colorful prints, was acquired by G-III Apparel Group in 2012 for $106 million.

The new men’s and boys’ neckwear collection will include Italian silk twill ties, bow ties and pocket squares in printed patterns from the Vilebrequin swimwear collection. The collection, which will be made in Italy, will be in stores in May.
