Now into its third season, “R” designer Robert Stock has come out with his best-ever menswear collection: modern designs in ultra-luxury fabrics with just the right edge and Robert’s signature touch of whimsy. With numerous groupings inspired by iconic celebrities (a prize goes to the buyer who guesses them all), this made-in-Europe (mostly Italy) collection features sumptuous cashmere sweaters, high thread count cotton shirts (many with subtle jacquard designs and bonus mother-of-pearl collar stays in a perforated leather case), fun neckwear, innovative trousers, lots of reversible vests and incredible double-faced softcoats. Retails are in the luxury range but the quality exceeds the asking price.
Available exclusively to top doors (30 specialty stores, 4 company stores and Neiman Marcus), Stock explains his philosophy. “I learned from the early success of Robert Graham that men do respond to fashion. This is more understated elegance but it’s the little touches that make a big difference.”
