RHONE EXPANDS RETAIL FOOTPRINT

Rhone is further expanding its retail presence with the opening of its New York City flagship, followed by its first store in Boston later this spring.

Rhone’s new 1,500 square-foot flagship store is located at 133 Fifth Avenue, at the center of New York City’s Flatiron District. The store extends the performance lifestyle brand’s commitment to offering thoughtful in-store experiences that demonstrate the entire sphere of living an active lifestyle, now with a unique partnership with Tonal, a state-of-the-art home gym-meets-personal trainer that features revolutionary technology and full-body-workouts, for customers to use and enjoy. Plus, to further foster a sense of community beyond its Flatiron store’s doors, Rhone will kick off a monthly run club.

Designed in collaboration with Retail Design Collaborative’s Virginia Maggiore, the flagship’s aesthetic is future-forward and evocative of movement. It uses a mix of cool metals and blonde woods and features furniture from Herman Miller and Design Within Reach.

“Our focus has always been on how Rhone can add value and create a sense of community for our customers,” said Nate Checketts, co-founder and CEO of Rhone. “With these two retail locations, we’re deepening our commitment to meeting customers where they are, establishing meaningful, in-person connections, and providing top-notch experiences.”

Following the opening of the Flatiron flagship, Rhone will open its doors in Boston at 174 Newbury Street. Capturing the historic lane’s charm, this quaint space offers an intimate shopping environment with exposed brick and wood walls.

In both stores, customers can expect to shop a full assortment of Rhone’s products, including the brand’s fan-favorite Commuter Collection, premium activewear, and technical gear treated with its proprietary GoldFusion technology. Rhone will also create limited-edition t-shirts sold exclusively at the Flatiron and Boston locations to celebrate the new spaces.

Amid COVID-19, the stores will follow state and city regulations to ensure customer safety, including managing reduced capacity, disinfecting dressing rooms after each use, and providing teams with the proper PPE and training to protect customers. All Rhone retail customers are also offered a free branded mask for their safety. Plus, Rhone will continue to offer its customers curbside pick-up at all store locations, with orders ready within an hour of being placed.

Rhone also has locations in Hudson Yards and Midtown Manhattan, as well as Chelsea Piers Stamford in Connecticut. The brand is also sold in all Equinox locations, at Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Peloton Studios, Stitch Fix, and more than 350 gyms and specialty stores across the country.
