Since the British Fashion Council merged the men’s and women’s fashion weeks into one event this time last year, many brands have combined both genders into one show. Yesterday, however, Burberry debuted a menswear-only presentation on the London Fashion Week (LFW) schedule, filmed in its Regent Street flagship. Following a year in which many of us have rediscovered the delights of the British countryside, Tisci’s first standalone menswear collection paid homage to the relationship between humanity and nature. “I wanted to celebrate the freedom of expression. Enclosed indoors, I dreamt of the outdoors and its beauty, fuelled by the thought of the creativity that comes when we are together,” said the Italian designer in his show notes.
