RIMOWA ADDS HARD-SHELL CROSSBODY BAG, WATCH CASE TO ITS OFFERING
This fall, Rimowa introduced two new items to its roster of luxury travel goods. First up is the brand’s new collection of “Personal” cases, which were first seen on the runway of Dior Men’s summer 2020 collection as part of a limited-edition capsule collection with Kim Jones.
This latest collection of Personal cases marks the next step in the product’s evolution and its incorporation into the brand’s core range of travel and daily accessories. Made in Germany and crafted for the first time in ultra-lightweight, dent-resistant grooved polycarbonate, the Rimowa Personal is a unisex hard-shell crossbody bag meant to house and transport your daily personal essentials. It can be worn with the detachable, adjustable leather body strap or carried like a clutch.
Each detail of the bag is carefully considered from its color-matched straps and leather lining down to its metal rivets, rings and hooks finished in silver or gunmetal. Inside, the interior features two open compartments, a zipped pocket, and three card slots.
The new collection will be available in four polycarbonate glossy colors; two permanent (Black and White) and two seasonal hues (Desert Rose and Cactus) that match the latest Rimowa Essential collections inspired by the Mojave Desert. Each Rimowa Personal bag retails for $1,220 and will be available starting December 3rd.
Next up, the luxury brand has also introduced a watch case. After nearly two years of meticulous development, the new watch cases are made in Italy from Rimowa’s signature aluminum with a microfiber interior.
Fashioned to easily fit within suitcases or travel bags, the Rimowa Watch Case is designed to comfortably accommodate up to three wristwatches in a range of styles. Uniquely constructed, the cylindrical design seamlessly glides open at either end to reveal three removable padded cushions and an additional top cushion layer included to ensure the careful protection of both timepiece and watch face during transport or display at home.
The Rimowa Watch Case retails $2,050, and will also be available starting from December 3rd in selected Rimowa stores and online at rimowa.com.
