ROSS STORES COMPLETES 2016 EXPANSION PLANS BY OPENING 34 NEW STORES

RossCalifornia-based Ross Stores will have opened 34 stores across 16 different states in September and October, rounding out the company’s 2016 expansion plans to add approximately 90 locations during the year. Among the new openings were the first dd’s Discounts store in Colorado, and the company’s first retail stores in North Dakota and South Dakota.

“This opening group completes our 2016 store growth plans.  Looking ahead, we continue to see plenty of opportunity to expand our store base across both new and existing markets, and remain confident that over the long-term, Ross Dress for Less can grow to 2,000 locations and dd’s Discounts can become a chain of 500 stores,” said Jim Fassio, Ross’ president and chief development officer.

The company, which the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the United States. currently has 1,342 locations in 36 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
