Proof that Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood is getting seriously chic: the recent opening of Oak Park Mens Supply. It’s a “small-batch” menswear store, selling designer denim, plaid work shirts that give off a whiff of lumbersexual style, hand-tooled leather goods and more for the well-dressed modern man. Owner Jason Maxwell located his store in Ron Vrilakas’ stylish Broadway Triangle building after looking at locales in midtown and downtown and deciding that the rent was just too damn high.
