SAINT LAURIE CHANGES NAME TO KOZINN + SONS

by Brian Lipton

Kozinn + Sons SuitsAfter more than a century, master tailors and bespoke suit makers have changed their name from Saint Laurie to Kozinn + Sons Merchant Tailors.

The change was sparked by Andrew Kozinn, the New York-based company’s current president and grandson of founder Samuel Kozinn. He made the move, in part, because the business’ name was being confused with well-known fashion brand Saint Laurent on Internet searches.

Moreover, Andrew’s son Jacob is also involved in the business, and the new name more accurately reflects the company’s history. “Naming ourselves Kozinn + Sons reaffirms the bedrock of our business. Our family’s reputation will be sewn into everything we make for you,” Mr. Kozinn wrote in a letter to his customers.
