Saturdays NYC has dropped an exclusive holiday capsule collection, marking the first time the brand will introduce upgraded elements of design, including more relaxed silhouettes, and two new limited-edition prints, the Rose and Checkerboard Peace Print.

Since its inception in 2009, Saturdays NYC has expanded from a small downtown surf shop in lower Manhattan to a lifestyle brand with an international footprint. This season, the brand takes its first step in refining its design focus to improve fit and proportion, premium fabrications, and a styling direction uniquely its own, where seasonal themes have become the center point of the brand.

Holiday 2020 was approached with the intention of creating a focused collection of wearable story-telling pieces. Inspired by the body as a vehicle for transit, the brand’s approach to fit and silhouette this season is centered around prioritizing ease through relaxed-fit garments. These items emphasize this idea of navigating city life through the integration of functional details such as adjustable utility belts and coat carrying straps.

Saturdays’ two print stories are executed across multiple product categories to explore its execution in fabrication. Holiday 2020 also illustrates the brand’s print exploration from polar fleece to cotton shirting and cotton-cashmere blend sweaters to microfiber.

Hero pieces from the collection include the Melrose Insulated Field Parka—a piece designed to keep you warm and dry with a poly-fill liner, a water-resistant fabric, removable hood, and built-in backpack straps; The Astor Polar Fleece is a boxy fitting, tricot-lined sweatshirt with the seasonal, all-over checkerboard peace print in sherpa thermal fleece fabric; and The Wade Rose Sweater, a relaxed fit sweater in a cotton-cashmere blend.
