SATURDAYS RELEASES SPRING COLLECTION, CAMPAIGN

by Stephen Garner

Saturdays NYC has released its spring/summer ‘21 collection, telling the story of prolonged separation and the importance of community during troubled times.

This season’s color story draws inspiration from the contrasting elements of technology and nature. Its pop colors were inspired by artificial light and their dissipating gradients. The foundation of its seasonal palette is built off of hues found in stone, sand, and soil.

In addition to the collection, the spring/summer ‘21 campaign features members of Benny’s Club—a New York-based queer and POC surf collective whose mission is to build a more inclusive and diverse New York surfing community.

Founded during NYC’s struggle with the pandemic and during the nation’s reckoning with systemic racism after the murder of George Floyd, the group assembled as a safe space for transplants and native New Yorkers alike to form new friendships through the sport of surfing. Now 60 members deep and growing, Benny’s Club is the future of New York Surfing and Saturdays is proud to champion their cause.

The collection is now available in Saturday’s NYC retail locations as well as on saturdaysnyc.com.
