NEW YORK – Scott Patti, former president of Mallory & Church LLC, has joined Peacock Apparel Group as executive vice president of sales and licensing, a new post.

Patti reports to Cin Kim, president and chief executive officer of Peacock. In addition to coordinating sales activities, he will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the company’s portfolio of licensed brands, which currently includes Colours by Alexander Julian and Giorgio Brutini.

Patti had been with Mallory & Church, previously Brittania Neckwear and Schoenfeld Neckwear, in various capacities for 30 years before leaving the firm earlier this year.

Peacock manufactures and distributes dress shirts, neckwear and related accessories, both individually and in boxed sets. Its principal sales points are midtier department stores.

“This company has gotten the midtier concept down to a science,” Patti told MRketplace.com. “We’re looking to build on that with new ideas and new brands and add new layers to our distribution.”

The company’s expertise includes packaging and display ideas for which it holds a number of patents.

Peacock was founded in 1990 and sources its production in numerous markets in Asia. It is headquartered at 236 Fifth Avenue here, where Patti will be based.
