Sellers Who Ship Through Amazon Will See A New 5% Fuel And Inflation Surcharge

Amazon sellers who use the company’s packaging and delivery service will see a 5% surcharge on shipping due to rising fuel prices and growing inflation. In a memo to sellers, the retail giant said it was applying the temporary fee for the first time in its history. “In 2022, we expected a return to normalcy as COVID-19 restrictions around the world eased, but fuel and inflation have presented further challenges,” the memo said.
