Simplicity That’s Not A Bore Is The Inspiration Behind Dries Van Noten’s SS21 Men And Women’s Collection

Pops of color and bold prints on fabrics make true art pieces in the form of clothes, and this is what describes Belgian brand, Dries Van Noten’s SS21 menswear and womenswear collection that was revealed today during Paris Fashion Week. It was Noten and his creative teams’ goal to make a collection that was simple, to flow with the age of COVID and all the adjustments that humanity is undergoing. But also, to create something that was straightforward and not boring. Inspiration for the collection came from New Zealand filmmaker and artist Len Lye. Noten took Lye’s motion in art, and his films from the 1920s – 1940s, with color painted and motifs scratched on celluloid, to drive the collection. Read more at Forbes.
