Global sneaker and streetwear retailer Sneakersnstuff will open the doors to its sixth store worldwide, located on the Venice Beach boardwalk in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday, March 26.

As previously reported by MR, the new 3,500 square-foot retail space is inspired by the history and legacy of Venice. From the founders’ obsession with Venice, Italy, the oil drilling history of Venice, CA, to championing the Mexican heritage and overall culture of the West Coast, the Sneakersnstuff store pays homage to all of the elements which make Los Angeles, primarily Venice, special.

Highlighted design elements in the space include a custom floor logo with shells picked on Venice Beach, the arches in the store are obviously Venice-inspired and features a sunset gradient, a fitting room pays tribute to the Los Angeles car culture with a magenta colored theme done by a local pinstriper and a room of bright pink plush fabric that replicates a car door and seat.

The Nike space in the shop features a Cortez Pinata, table with graphics made by Swedish illustrator Martin Ander and a basketball fountain designed by Lilian Martinez of BFGF. The Adidas section in the store is an homage to the infamous “Muscle Beach” in Venice. A huge concrete sculpted barbell is the centerpiece of the display, flagged with dumbbells made out of sand continuing on the theme.

The Sneakersnstuff “Souvenir Shop” continues to pays homage to the Venice Boardwalk and features Sneakersnstuff-branded “souvenirs”, retail special products and releases, and will partner with brands, artists and designers to host pop-up shops. To celebrate the opening of Sneakersnstuff Los Angeles, the souvenir shop will feature an SNS capsule collection including custom tie dye hoodies, graphic t-shirts, frisbees, water bottles, key rings, and more.

Outside of being a premium sneaker destination, the space will also serve as a hub for events, activations, community work, engaging with local creatives, artists, and branded store experiences. This will include the Sneakersnstuff Art Program – a space dedicated to a rotating program of artists, with the proceeds of all artwork sold going to a charitable cause decided by SNS and each artist. Curated by HVW8 gallery, the work of Erin D. Garcia is the first to exhibit artwork on opening day.
