SOCIETY FOR INTERNATIONAL MENSWEAR MOVES TO AN ICONIC MENSWEAR RETAIL LOCATION FOR ITS THIRD EDITION

by John Russel Jones

Society for International Menswear (Society) will return for its third edition in New York City, on Monday and Tuesday, July 24th and 25th, 2023, at an exciting new venue: an iconic former menswear flagship store in Midtown Manhattan. Located at 44th Street and Madison Avenue, [Editor’s note: Hmmm…sure looks like Brooks Brothers to us!]  the stunning, multi-level retail setting lends itself perfectly to the elevated menswear event and evokes New York’s world-famous elegance and sophistication.  The space retains all of its original millwork and fixtures, creating a chic, club-like atmosphere, the perfect backdrop for showcasing the finest classic and contemporary apparel, footwear, and accessory brands.

This season Society will host leading menswear collections from the United States, Canada, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, and other nations. Past exhibitors have included notable brands Serge Blanco, Tailor Vintage, Tateossian, Edward Green, Amedeo Testoni, Carlos Santos, Desoto, 34 Heritage, Left Coast Tee, Chervo, Fly 3, Myths, Luchiano Visconti, Hanro, Majestic International, Aston Leather, MAC Jeans, and Schneiders of Salzburg.

Coleman McCartan, Vice President of Business Development says, “The decision to switch to a weekday show gives us two distinct advantages: First, it facilitates our availability to the MR Magazine Awards dinner attendees and, second, we will now run simultaneously with other notable menswear shows.  We feel this move creates an enticing synergy that strengthens men’s market week and will help to reestablish New York as the men’s apparel capital of North America.”
