Stuart & Lau, a men’s accessories brand founded by Matthew Stuart and Jimmy Lau, opens an exclusive pop-up store in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan.

Located at 119 Crosby Street, the 1,000 square foot store boasts a modern and airy location that showcases the brand’s range of backpacks, briefcases, bags and accessories. Backpacks, briefcases and bags retail for $295-$395, while accessories are available from $20 to $135.

The store will also feature the brand’s newest product, a briefcase and backpack hybrid aptly named ‘The Briefpack.’ The new brick-and-mortar store is also home to a thoughtful assortment of goods from like-minded brands who share Stuart & Lau’s passion for purposeful design for the man on the move. Partner brands include, merino wool apparel maker Wool & Prince, accessories and home goods brand Craig Hill, North & Mark outerwear, Hestra Gloves, cap specialist Varsity, technical performance apparel brand Isaora, handcrafted hats from B.M. Franklin & Co., Fox Umbrellas, Kinto tableware and lifestyle products, portable and compact cups from stojo, and more.

Stuart & Lau previously tested brick-and-mortar retail with a multi-brand holiday pop-up shop last December called Ampersand Collective. Its success spurred Stuart to take out a longer lease in his favorite neighborhood.

“When we began designing our first collection, our goal was to create a line of products that not only looked great, but achieved a level of functionality that had never been seen in the men’s accessory category,” said Jimmy Lau, co-founder at Stuart & Lau. “We achieved this by dedicating a large part of our creative process to fully understanding the lifestyle of the modern man, including what he carries, the places he goes, and the elements he faces, so that we could produce a product that effectively and efficiently addressed his needs.”

“SoHo is one of New York City’s prime shopping destinations and a hub for the man living a modern, urban reality rooted in mobility, who Stuart & Lau was created for,” added Stuart. “Last year’s pop-up was a great barometer for how on target and timely our collections are. This year, we are excited to take things a step further by establishing firmer roots in the neighborhood and revealing some of our new product offerings along with those of our wonderful brand partners, as we collectively help men navigate their personal and professional lives in practical and stylish ways.”

Launched in 2015, Stuart & Lau was born to meet the demands of the global professional.
