Suitsupply revenge of the yuppiesFor fall/winter 2017, Dutch tailored clothing powerhouse Suitsupply has unveiled its newest iteration of its Jort collection, dubbed “Revenge of the Yuppies”.

Inspired by the golden era of Wall Street bigwigs, the new line is a fun, playful homage to the style of archetypical 1980’s finance icons.

Suitsupply revenge of the yuppies“It’s 30 years since Black Monday,” the company said of the collection inspiration. “Inspired by freefalling stock markets, the excess of the 80s, and iconic characters like American Psycho’s Patrick Bateman and Wall Street’s Gordon Gekko, we present the new collection from our sartorial historian Jort Kelder.”

“The Jort is bringing the Yuppie back, but in reality, he never went away – he was merely drowned out by exercises in mindfulness, silent retreats and Bikram yoga,” the company continued. “But now, it’s okay to be a man again – and that goes hand in hand with a fresh, powerful look.”
