Amsterdam-based tailored clothing company Suitsupply is having a great end-of-year. The brand has opened its first store in Kansas City, Kansas and Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California.

The new 4,213-square-foot Kansas City store, located at 4419 West 119th Street in Leawood’s Town Center Crossing, is in good company among the neighboring high-end retail, restaurant and nightlife offerings. The spacious new spot will offer a vibrant, open setting where clients can freely shop the full collections of suits, jackets, shoes, outerwear, accessories, and attire.

The new 2,120 square-foot Fashion Island store, located at 905 Newport Center Drive, features the brand’s full line of offerings as well as in-store tailoring and custom made items.

These openings come as the brand announced last month that it raised $360 million in funding from NPM Capital as well as a consortium of banks including ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, ING, and Rabobank. Suitsupply will use the funds for further international expansion and investments in its technology.

Suitsupply currently operates 93 stores in 73 cities on 3 continents, including 32 in North America, a market it entered in 2011.

Next year is looking to be another strong one for the brand, with new store openings planned in San Jose, Sydney, St. Louis, Brooklyn, and Boston.

In October, it launched a women’s concept called Suistudio with stores in Amsterdam and Shanghai and New York.

The privately held Suitsupply was founded by Fokke de Jong who still serves as its chief executive officer. It started as online only and opened its first brick-and-mortar store in 2000, 30 percent of the revenue is still generated online.
