Tavex Opens NY Sales/Service Center
NEW YORK – Tavex Group, the premium denim manufacturer based in Madrid, Spain, has opened a sales and service office at 131 Spring Street in New York City’s SoHo district.
Jake Fraser has joined the company as director of sales and marketing for North and Central America.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with geographic proximity and a reliable alternative to the Japanese and Italian resources they have had to rely on as well as affordable, authentic products,” Fraser said.
The company recently acquired production and finishing facilities in Puebla, Mexico. Fraser said the production will provide “premium, European-like denim” with the extra enhancement of better speed to market.
Fraser heads a team that also includes denim merchandiser Jeannie Cumiskey.
Tavex’s customers include Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Diesel, DKNY, Polo Ralph Lauren and Miss Sixty, the company said.
Tavex plans a grand opening party for the new office on July 19.
