Middle-class shopping tastes have changed, big time. It probably won’t shock shoppers to learn that any day now, Macy’s is expected to announce the locations of 40 stores it will close in early 2016. What may come as a bit of a surprise, though, is that the closures probably represent only the tip of an iceberg that will dramatically change traditional American malls from coast to coast.
