With his collection of fine Italian-made shoes and boots on every good American menswear store’s shelves, Adam Derrick has expanded his offering with a collection of sneakers. The first collection for SS15 features a lace up, as slip on, and a desert boot-inspired high-top.

“To Boot has always been a lifestyle footwear brand; we cover men’s footwear from sandals and drivers in summer, to dress shoes and casual shoes and formal shoes; the missing component was sneakers,” says founder Adam Derrick. “I took a really clean silhouette and brought out some of the details in the craftsmanship, like contrast suede welting, leather tabs and lace stay, broader waxed laces, and soles that match the upper.”

And while sneakers are becoming such an important part of the luxury menswear market, To Boot’s offering occupy a space of their own. “A lot of designer sneakers are more extravagant visually, and of course there’s a customer for it,” explains Derrick, “but I really wanted it to feel like a To Boot shoe: classic, but contemporary, with a flexibility in where you can wear them. Clean, simple, and important.”
