TODD SNYDER LOOKS TO 1950S HOLLYWOOD FOR PRE-FALL 2020

by Stephen Garner

Todd Snyder has released a sneak peek at his new pre-fall 2020 collection.

The collection is a modern take on the style of a late-1950s leading man – particularly the rebels who were approaching their craft, their lives, and how they dressed in uniquely personal ways.

The key looks include a refresh of a number of vintage Hollywood styles – merino wool sweater polos, pleated chinos, mechanic’s jackets, camp collared shirts in bold graphic prints from Liberty of London, and a striped long-sleeve tee that looks like it could have slipped off the back of Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief.

The job of bringing the clothes to life feel to creative director Jim Moore and photographer Kenny Thomas.

Todd Snyder’s pre-fall collection launches next week.

  1. I love this!!! It is young and very fresh. Many customers who are not familiar with Classic 1950’s men’s Hollywood fashions will be delighted and surprised by these inventive fashion designs. Todd Snyder has really captured the look of that time, but he has successfully and inventively propelled into the 21st Century. I think he has designed a wonderful line, that I predict will be very well received by the male buying public, especially if he promotes the line with photos like the ones featured here that show men how to wear them to their best advantage. Sometime, guys need a little instruction on how to put things together properly.

    Again, I love this line!!!
