Lifestyle-brand Tommy Bahama has released additional details about its line of officially licensed Major League Baseball apparel for the 2016 MLB season, featuring a variety of premium sportswear for fans of all 30 MLB teams.
Among the items are its Team Panel Back shirts – for the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers – which feature the original artwork and logos of these legendary teams embroidered and printed on the back and left sleeve; its Firewall Half-Zip sweatshirt made of lightweight, moisture-managing fabric and detailed with embroidered team logo on the sleeve; its Diamond Dinger solid-colored jacquard shirt with the team long on the left sleeve; its Paradise Slider camp shirt featuring detailed team artwork; and the Fairweather Fronds Polo, a super-soft cotton shirt with team logo embroidered on the left sleeve. Retail prices for these pieces range from $98 to $158.
As previously reported, the company has already released its limited-edition 2016 David Ortiz “Collector’s Edition” Series shirt, in honor of the soon-to-retire Boston Red Sox superstar. The front of the silk-print showcases a classic image of Ortiz hitting a home run out of Fenway Park. The Red Sox logo, Ortiz’s signature, the number 34 and his silhouette are also embroidered onto the shirt, while the back of the shirt features his career highlights and awards against the backdrop of Fenway Park’s iconic Green Monster. A woven label inside the collar shows the classic pose Ortiz strikes after each home run he hits. The shirt comes in a custom designed garment bag. It retails for $250.
