American designer Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp., has announced the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport apparel styles, revealed at Silverstone, U.K. where the four-time Formula One World Champions also unveiled its new race car for the 2018 season on Thursday, February 22.

Hilfiger designed the team’s trackside uniform, as well as the travel kit, and office and hospitality apparel as part of the recently announced multi-year strategic partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport.

Starting in the 2018 season, Tommy Hilfiger will be the Official Apparel Partner of the team, building on the sport sponsorship heritage that the iconic American designer has embraced since first founding his brand. The partnership with one of the world’s top Formula One teams and leading automobile innovator underscores Tommy Hilfiger’s vision to continuously elevate and expand the brand in key markets for the next generation of Tommy Hilfiger consumers.

“I’m proud to be dressing a team fueled by the same passion and drive that is at the heart of our brand,” said Hilfiger. “The styles celebrate the fusion of fashion and Formula One, bringing a cool twist to the high-energy car racing environment.”

The refined technical team uniforms are created in multiple-high performance fabrics and include 100 percent waterproof/breathable, wind resistant, stretch, wicking and anti-UV features. Styles include a 3-in-1 jacket, bonded soft shell jacket, rain jacket, wind sweater, pants, skirt, shorts, T-shirt, and woven shirts in modern textures, as well as stretch polo’s and performance knits. All apparel feature graphics in high-shine embroidery paired with rubberized technical heat seal. Reflective hits are also applied to outerwear and shirts. Looks are designed in a classic white, deep black and charcoal gray color palette, with silver piping and pops of the iconic Tommy Hilfiger global stripe.

The travel kit, as well as the office and hospitality apparel, include a hooded down coat, cable knit sweater, polo shirt, pants, Oxford shirt, button-down cardigan, parka, scarf, belts and sneakers for women, and bomber jacket, sweaters, pants, polo shirt, Oxford shirt, belts, sneakers, and beanie for men. Looks are designed in a classic white and navy color palette with the iconic Tommy Hilfiger “stretch” logo.

As part of the partnership, the Tommy Hilfiger logo is also featured on the team’s newly revealed Mercedes-AMG FI W09 EQ Power+ race car, as well as inside the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport garage and on other trackside assets.
